Indication

Zadit is indicated for the treatment of signs & symptoms (itchy, watery, red & swollen eyes and/or eyelids) of allergic conjunctivitis including vernal keratoconjunctivitis, vernal keratitis, blepharitis, blepharoconjunctivitis, and giant papillary conjunctivitis.


Dosage & Administration

The usual dose of Zadit (Ketotifen) eye drops is 1 drop in the affected eye(s) twice a day (in the morning and evening).


Precautions

Patients should be advised not to wear contact lenses during treatment with Ketotifen ophthalmic solution. The treatment should also be discontinued in the presence of an allergic reaction.

 

Use in Pregnancy & Lactation
The safety of this medicine in pregnancy has not been established. It should therefore be used with caution during pregnancy, and only if the benefits to the mother outweigh any risks to the fetus. This medicine is unlikely to be excreted into the breast milk after application to the eye, and this medicine may therefore be used by breast feeding mothers.
